Well I been stumbling my way round here for a while and finally I am going to try to grow some green. I am planing on growing a few plants outside just to test the waters before I set up an indoor. I am not hoping for anything amazing just a few tips, like if they do start growing what are some tell tale signs of males? I have been looking all over this net and can't find shit on the subject

Edit: I changed my mind on the outdoor idea, their are way to many threats in my area so I am going to move to my closet but I was just curious if letting it sit near the window would be any good till i can get my lights up. for the record these are not the best specimen in the world so I don't know how they will take if at all like I said just trying to get a feel for it.

IMO Indoor is easier than outdoor. Outdoor you have to take consideration for all the extremes of mother nature, this makes it a hard environment to control.

As for sexing, shortly after you change your light schedule from 18/6 or whatever you prefer, and to 12/12 you should see them change a week or two after the switch.

As for will there be enough light? I don't know. That depends on how many uninterupted hours a day that window gets. And, as for lighting, what are you intending on getting? Flouros? HPS? MH?

I am looking on purchasing some HPS after my next pay check but I currently have a couple fluoros in my closet.

Very good. HPS is the way to go unless you have enough money to get an MH lamp for flowering, and use the HPS for veg. But, I got very good results using just the HPS lamp.
